The Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Tubeless Disc-brake wheel is harnessing high technology in a more versatile setup. Not needing to allow for rim brake caliper compatibility or brake-track requirements, the 202 Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake wheel opens your riding world to new possibilities.

Whats more, weve revised our industry changing Firecrest rim shape to be tubeless compatible, disc-brake specific, and more efficient at creating a fast and stable ride in any wind condition. Aerodynamic performance has been further enhanced because Zipps ABLC dimples extend all the way to the outer edge of the disc-specific rim. The new wheel is also optimized for wider tires to meet the performance needs of modern riders in search of low rolling resistance and aero efficiency with high comfort. In developing this wheel, Zipp engineers examined three different external rim shape concepts, and within each of those shapes, four separate internal widths before selecting the most efficient designs at each rim depth.

The new 202 Firecrest Tubeless Disc-brake wheel has an internal width of 21mm and is aerodynamically optimized for use with 28mm wide tires. The new designs improve Firecrests ability to yield low aerodynamic drag and high crosswind stability, a combination we call AeroBalance. Tubeless compatible, the wheels feature a rim bed made with internal ridges to lock the tires bead in place, ensuring secure performance even when ridden at lower tire pressures. A new carbon fibre layup for the Indianapolis-made rims keeps weight low while maintaining the Firecrest Carbon Clinchers proven durability.

The robust 177D hub, paired with 24 Sapim CX-Sprint spokes, keeps the wheel stiff and responsive. To ensure compatibility with any bike, our versatile 177D hub comes with swappable end caps to work with QRs and thru-axles, including 12x142mm rear thru-axles. The 177D rear hub is also XDR driver body compatible (adapter sold separately, check for availability) for use with SRAM 10-42 cassettes.
